Anyone can be an Action volunteer – we think anyone who gives up their free time to help others is a hero!

Hawksworth Wood Project runs out of term time for the period of one week (Mon to Fri) during easter and summer holidays.
It works with children aged 8 to 10 from the local area and are considered disadvantaged. During the week we do a number of workshops which involve drama, art and crafts, sports and games. This is all carried out within the Hawksworth Wood Children's Centre, both inside and outside.
This project only started in easter 2008 but due to its success was followed up in the summer holidays and we hope it's great success will continue! hawksworthwood@leedsaction.co.ukThis project involves work with:
