Hello and welcome to Leeds Action!

A level results are coming out this week and as the students find out whether they have secured a place at their chosen University, they will no doubt be scouting out all the things to see/do around their soon-to-be homes. If you are one of these many students and you have stumbled across our website through the Leeds University Union Website, then, firstly, congratulations on your results and welcome to Leeds :) !!

Now to introduce Action…We are a student-led volunteer group that looks to help the local community! We have a great range of projects so whether you want to go camping with some teenagers, have a tea-party with some older people, or help run a free shop, we will have something to suit you! Take your time browsing through our website and see which projects are right for you. If you have any questions or would like further information feel free to contact the relevant member of the exec team (see “Meet the Exec” tab) or if in doubt email Louise at secretary@leedsaction.co.uk and she should be able to refer you to the right person!

We understand that you may be very busy during your first couple of months at University so its not a problem if you don’t sign up to Action straight away. You can join any time in the year and there will nearly always be something for you to get stuck into. The great thing about Action is that there is no long term commitment to each project- you can volunteer as much or as little as you like.

For all the latest updates on events, socials and project, why not add us now on facebook (http://www.facebook.com/leedsaction) and twitter (@leedsaction)

Finally, come visit us at the LUU Freshers Fair on 21st September!

We look forward to meeting you!
